Host/Events Committee: Volunteers Needed
The DBT-Linehan Board of Certification™ is thrilled to announce the formation of the Host/Events Committee. This group will coordinate our growing calendar of events, including one after ISITDBT and our new annual celebration honoring Dr. Marsha Linehan.
About the Host/Events Committee:
This committee will be responsible for planning, organizing, and recruiting volunteers for DBT-LBC™ events throughout the year. As we expand our community engagement efforts, particularly with the new annual Linehan celebration, we need dedicated individuals to help create meaningful gatherings that strengthen our community and advance our mission.
Committee Responsibilities:
- Meet monthly (virtually) to coordinate upcoming events
- Develop event concepts that support DBT-LBC™’s mission and community
- Create timelines and action plans for each event
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers for specific events
- Collaborate with DBT-LBC™ leadership on messaging and priorities
- Help establish our regional host network for the annual Linehan celebration
- Evaluate event outcomes and suggest improvements
Time Commitment:
- Monthly 60-minute meetings
- Approximately 2-3 hours of additional work per month
- Initial term of one year, with option to continue
Ideal Committee Members:
- Have experience with event planning or volunteer coordination
- Are passionate about DBT and the mission of the DBT-LBC™
- Can commit to regular participation
- Bring creativity and enthusiasm to building community
