Kelsey Packwood is the Writer/Director of BORDERLINE-a half hour traumedy series about lived experience with Borderline Personality Disorder. BORDERLINE bridges art and mental-health education and offers clinicians and clients an honest, stigma-breaking window into life with BPD. BORDERLINE has screened globally and has been used as a teaching tool at several universities and hospitals. Kelsey is dedicated to fostering empathy, insight, and representation for those living with BPD.

Synopsis: On the day of her Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis, Kelsey tries everything to avoid being alone. Spamming her dad’s phone to no avail, she tries to cope the old-fashioned way… online dating. After a series of failed connections, Kelsey spirals into psychosis leaving herself questioning why she should continue on this lonely road. In Kelsey Packwood’s directorial debut, this half-hour “traumedy” encompasses what it really means to be, Borderline, shining a light on this long misunderstood mental-illness.
Who is Kelsey: Kelsey Packwood is a Writer, Director, Producer, and actor from Los Angeles, CA. After receiving a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder at 27, Kelsey was inspired to turn her lived experience into advocacy through storytelling. Her half-hour “traumedy” pilot, BORDERLINE, offers an honest and often humorous look behind the stigma surrounding BPD. The series has screened internationally and has been utilized as an educational tool by therapists, clinicians, and families seeking to better understand the lived experience of BPD. Through her creative work, Kelsey strives to challenge public misconceptions about mental illness and amplify the voices of those often unheard.
