Looking back on this year’s webinars, DBT-LBC wanted to specifically thank each presenter for sharing their wisdom and time with our community. Randy Wolbert, LMSW, Zen Roshi, ushered in the new year with lessons on cultivating Mindfulness into daily practice. Janis Whitlock, Ph.D. provided practical guidance for using DBT to treat non-suicidal self-injury in youth. We celebrated Pride Month with Kim Skerven, Ph.D. and Jake Camp, Ph.D. who reviewed best practices in working effectively using DBT with LGBTQ+ clients. Lastly, Dorian Hunter, Ph.D. educated an audience of clients, caregivers, and clinicians on updated research on DBT’s biosocial theory as it shapes interventions for substance abuse treatment. We look forward to learning from each of you again!
As we begin our webinar planning for 2025, we wanted to hear from each of you on potential ideas and topics of interest. Specifically, what would you like to learn from a DBT-LBC webinar? Are there certain populations or DBT interventions you’d like to see covered? We would also love to know if there is community interest in accessing previous DBT-LBC webinars for a fee. Please let us know the answers to those questions, or simply reach out with an idea on how we can continue to disseminate content to both consumers and clinicians. We welcome your feedback and ideas! Please reach out to [email protected] and let us know your thoughts. Thank you in advance for your willingness.
