The Legislative group is working on a variety of goals related to increasing access to adherent DBT services, especially for those individuals who cannot afford to pay out of pocket, by fighting for “fair” reimbursement fees while educating consumers and reimbursers about the importance of adherence.
Our work includes pursuing legislative interventions at the state and federal levels, identifying methods for effectively working with insurance companies, Medicaid, and ,Medicare, and considering the feasibility of a broad economic analysis of treatment effects similar to what was done in the UK to make psychological interventions first line treatments for the National Health Service.
