Webinar Details:
In the “DBT Next Steps” manual, Dr. Katherine Comtois, Dr. Adam Carmel, and Dr. Marsha Linehan offer a way to stretch across the divide for clients who successfully completed standard DBT but haven’t yet achieved their worth-living aspirations for work, employment, education, relationship-building, and community engagement.
This webinar will share an overview of Skills Training Group in DBT Next Steps. The participants involved will be trained to focus on the strategy of developing a Life Ambition statement and sharing it in a weekly group to gain traction on quality-of-life goals. Additionally, participants will gain insight on how to do weekly check-in’s that are an indispensable tool to get moving and keep momentum toward your goals. The webinar brings an innovative skills curriculum offering assignments to help practice skills and make them your own. While striking a balance between didactic and interactive approaches, this training will maximize participants’ understanding on how DBT Next Steps helps clients create new capabilities to achieve their employment, relationship, and independence goals.
